About Witkoppen

Generic term A.I. has been adopted for an area bounded by William Nichol on the East, Witkoppen Road on the South, Cedar Road on the West and Fourways Gardens on the North. The area comprises township extensions for Witkoppen, Fourways and Palmlands A.H.

There is one public school, Witkoppen Primary School that caters largely to disadvantaged children. It is situated next to the Witkoppen Health & Welfare Centre catering to the poorest and most vulnerable people. There is a Crawford Pre-primary called The Gardens Pre-School within Fairfield Estate. Sporting facilities include a virgin active gym and an adventure putt-putt course within Fourways mall. The main shopping facility is Fourways Mall and the ABSA centre. There is an Intercare clinic on Fourways Boulevard. There is a new park - Witkoppen Park under development next to Fairfield estate in Granite Road.

The area is predominately mixed development with office parks and residential areas in the form of older houses mainly in boomed areas and one Estate, new Sectional Title units and old and new Cluster Developments and Estates.
